Reviewed Indian Summer Stew: Butternut Squash, Coconut, and Lentil Stew
"I love this stew! I read the reviews before I cooked and read that it was sweet. Mine did not come out sweet since I used shredded coconut which was not sweetened. If I had added the sweetened coconut I would have had a sweeter stew. I could have made this without the honey for I like the spicy taste of Indian food. I used green lentils instead of the "yellow split pigeon peas" since I could not find locally. I would probably add less coconut next time, too much coconut texture for my taste. Overall loved making this stew and it smells wonderful!
Reviewed Old-Time Beef Stew
"My daughter, who is 16 and very picky about food, loves this recipe. I am making it for her again tonight. I first made it during the week of Christmas and everyone loved it. It is especially good after leaving it over night in the fridge. Loved the beefy, meaty taste of the stew. It was also easy to make.
