Amazing flavor, great comfort food dish!

I used only 4 strips of a cherry-wood smoked bacon, this was enough to brown meat and add a great flavor without as much fat. By the looks of other reviews my instincts to reduce the amount of bacon/grease were right on. I used 4 bone-in skin-on breasts. In the end my dish was 6-8 servings...

Pretty tasty! Easy to make, took me a little longer to prepare...great recipe for substitutions.

I made mine with these substitutions:
1- arugula instead of spinach b/c it's what I had on-hand.
2- Made it noodle-less and used both summer squash and zucchini -no carrots b/c I forgot them!. I think b/c I left out...

I loved the stuffing- it was rich and flavorful, but the wine lemon sauce didn't fit with the flavor profile of the chicken & stuffing. I baked the chicken, I used toothpicks to secure the stuffed chicken, stuffing came out but no biggie- i made a slightly larger batch since i wanted to use all the spinach i bought.

On the bonus- it can easily be made vegan (which I'm not, but...

Delicious and filling- I was very satisfied with the serving portion. Also pretty easy to make, my hubby suggested adding some other goodies to it- like a carbonara- so we may mix things up a bit next time. Very creamy and cheesy!""

Alton, I love ya! Your recipes never disappoint!
I used this recipe to host my very first thanksgiving and I got compliments all around.
Some family members were skeptical about the turkey being fully cooked; all I have to say is sweet, sweet, satisfaction when the bird came out PERFECT.
I had never used brine before...

This was pretty quick and easy and I got compliments on the appetizer (despite having forgot to put the brown sugar on it!).

This has become a staple in my house. I use bone-in, skin-on chicken as well...just need to increase the cook time a bit. I also prefer to use locally grown (Michigan) garlic because the cloves are smaller and crisp up better than larger (California) gloves.

The ingredients are simple but that taste and aroma are amazing! I've served...
