My Activity
Reviewed Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
"I doubled the recipe for two 10 inch pans. I had 9 cups of rhubarb and 7 cups of strawberries. I used 2/3 cup of corn starch and the pie was not runny at all! I used the regular doubled amount of sugar but i would add an extra third cup next time. This was an excellent recipe, i will make it again for sure!"
Reviewed Chicken Stock
"FABULOUS! This is seriously the best chicken stock EVER. It is so rustic. Great flavor, easy to make, and has a beautiful color. I started with 3 frozen chickens (I didn't have time to unthaw them). I cooked them for three hours. Then I shredded off the chicken and threw the bones back in for another 2 hours. It still has a wonderful full bodied flavor. I will never ever go back to store bought stock again."
Reviewed Chicken Stew with Biscuits
"Very delicious! I added an extra half cup of pearl onions and a cup of chopped celery. The leftovers microwave well and still taste great. I would suggest rolling out the bisquits a little thicker. Great recipe!"

"Fantastic! A lot of steps but definitely worth it."
About Me
I grew up around a lot of women in my family who were fabulous cooks. Everything I know came from them. I will never forget what they taught me.
Favorite Foods
I mostly cook "feel good food". But i love to be adventurous and cook other things as well. I adore Mexican style cooking, as I have vacationed there many times. I also like Irish food and southern style cooking.
