Excellent! Didn't have pancetta so used prosciutto but still made the sauce so rich and flavorful. Meatballs turned out so good....I baked them in the oven instead of frying and texture was still nice. Kids and hubs loved them so we will make again!

I loved this. I did reduce the vinegar to a quarter cup and used a very good sherry vinegar. I didn't have salt pork so I added a slice of bacon to lentils while they were cooking. Very good with these modifications! I also found that the lentils didn't need the full 25 minutes so definitely start testing sooner than recommended to see if they are...

So easy and delicious. The sauce is way too tangy by itself but once it is combined with the pork it is perfect because the tanginess of the sauce cuts through the richness of the pork. I will make this again and again. Also great for freezing. "
