Reviewed Southwest Georgia Pound Cake

"I made this cake using the exact recipe and directions, and it came out superb. I added some coco powder to half of the batter and poured it on top of the regular batter, and my family loved it. Will make it again."

Reviewed 'Ol No. 7 Yams

"I tried this recipe last night to see if I would do it for Thanksgiving. It was an absolute hit!! My husband doesn't like sweet potatoes, but he couldn't stop eating these. This is definitly going to be on our Thanksgiving menu. The only thing I did to make the sauce a bit thicker was to put 2.5 cups of water and added 2 tablespoons of cornstarch ""

Reviewed "Molten" Flourless Chocolate Cupcakes

"Forgot to mention, below, that there is no cake flour in this recipe unlike what some comments refer to. The cupcakes are called "Flourless" so I don't know where people got the idea to use flour in there. I also used semi-sweet chocolates and it was awesome!!""

Reviewed Mini Banana Beignets

"I was excited to make these beignets but was very dissapointed. First off, the dough was watery. I had to add more flour to it. Then after making the first few, noticed that I needed to add sugar to the dough as well. Also, the balls don't come out as perfect round, they are more like ovals and long shapes. Additionally, though I kept the oil on m""

Reviewed Pumpkin Pie

"I made this in preparation for Thanksgiving, and it came out really nice. I read many reviews stating that the recipe is enough for 2 pies. So, I made some modifications as follows:

*Used 1 can (15oz) of organic mashed pumpkin= 1.75 cups
*Used 2 whole eggs
*Used 1.5 teaspoons of nutmeg
*Used 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
*Didn't use ginger

Reviewed Southern Red Velvet Cake

"This recipe is fine though I have had better red velvets. However, my friends and family still like the taste. It is a bit oily, so cut down on the oil a bit. You can add 1-2 extra tsp of cocoa, just keep in mind that the more cocoa you have the darker the color of your red velvet will be. Additionally, I found that the amount of dough/mix was only good for 2 layers and not 3, and because of the amount of oil in there, the cake doesn't rise. So, I have switched to making cupcakes with this recipe instead and that works best and much much easier to do. I added baking soda and baking powder and not just B. soda as the recipe says.Watch the video and follow the recipe to the T. It helped me better understand how everything comes together. The frosting is really good and easy to make.

Reviewed Tiramisu Italiano

"By far one of the best recipes I have ever had. I have a big New Year's eve party coming up and our theme is Italian food. I decided to make this Tiramisu as a test run, and love it! A few points: Many are correct with their suggestion that you should double the recipe for the custard. Also, make sure you soak the ladyfingers in the espresso mix, well, so they are soft but not too mushy. Additionally, after I added the 1st layer of custard, I sprinkled cocoa powder and then added the 2nd set of ladyfingers and custard and added the cocoa powder again on top. It came out really good. Also, you can shave chocolate on top or chocolate covered espresso beansThis recipe is a winner!
