Reviewed Bruschetta

"I served this recipe exactly as written as a side to steak and sugar snap peas. It not only made a beautiful presentation but was utterly delicious. We ate it as a salad instead of an appetizer. Definitely a keeper."

Reviewed Tater Tots

About Me

I have enjoyed cooking since around age 5. I had a wonderful grandmother who allowed me to experment using her small pans and skillets. She encouraged me to cook and never offered any criticism, but, only positive suggestions.

I do not consider myself a great cook but it is my favorite pass-time activity. I love to read cookboods and try new recipes. I think my collection  is now over 700 books. I find an interesting book almost evey week and sometime more; this week it was three and I am eagerly reading through them and pondering which recipes to try first.Over the years I have learned to use less or omit ingredients that my family isn't fond of and I think all seasoned cooks have learned what their familes would like and what they would turn their nose up to. I had four children that would try anything and one (the youngest) who has such a selective palate, she enjoys very few things and has no interest in cooking. If it doesn't come in already prepared, she isn't eating. Everyone is different and I have learned to make allowances for these differences.
