Reviewed Neely's Pigs in a Blanket

"Yummy! I remember seeing this recipe when it aired on the food network channel. I was asked to make pigs in a blanket for a social get together at work and remembered the Neelys recipe. I made the recipe exactly as listed and they came out beautifully! I made 3 batches. ""

Reviewed Buttermilk Biscuits

"They came out ok and they were dry. I probably won't make them again. I did not like the taste of the buttermilk so the second time I made biscuits, I used Paula Deen's recipe who uses regular milk... that tasted SO much better. "

Reviewed Biscuits

"These came out super light and tasty! I did not like the fact that an oven temperature setting was not provided so I set it on 400 degrees. The biscuits did not turn out fluffy as expected, but they were still quite yummy... it could have had something to do with the oven temperature setting. I'll certain make these again, but will try to make the"

Reviewed Garden Vegetable Soup

"The soup turned out great, as this was my first time making this dish. I made some changes: I substituted yellow onions for leeks, and canned tomatoes rather than fresh. I also added celery (with the onions and garlic) and green peas. Lastly, I used Italian parsley rather than regular parsley as it was all I had in my fridge. The soup smelled SO good as I was making it. Thanks for a great recipe!

Reviewed Hash Brown Potatoes

"This was an easy dish to make and it turned out pretty good. I peeled the potatoes before boiling them, however. I was looking for a more traditional potatoes o'brien type of dish, but this dish is a more kicked up hash browns dish that I will continue to make in the future.

Reviewed Waffles

"LOVE these waffles and have made them several times already! I did not use nutmeg, but they came out just fine. My husband and I love these waffles way better than the store-bought pancake mix.

Reviewed Crispy French Fries with Mayonnaise Dip

"First off, I don't have a deep fryer so I had to use a large pot, and I could not adjust the temperature to 350 degrees. The fries came out ok... I don't think that my oil was hot enough, and I had to cook the potatoes way longer than two minutes per batch. When the fries were golden brown and cristy, I took them out of the pot so that they could drain, but they grew limp somehow. My hubby and I enjoyed the snack regardless, but the lesson learned was to buy a deep fryer.
