"These are awesome! And they are healthy, too. I substituted ground flax for the wheat germ and they turned out great. I've also played around with the recipe, adding different things and changing it up. These are such a nice alternative to the junk they sell in grocery stores and my kids love them!

@Deb: First off, Alton Brown is like a walking, breathing food encyclopedia, so for you to accuse him of not having a "modicum of cooking sense" is laughable. Second, ounces doesn't have a "z" in it.

Reviewed Apple-Lime-Peanut Slaw

"Loved it! I also made the mango pork and this slaw complemented it well. The slaw was my favorite part of the meal. I did take the suggestions from other reviews, though, and doubled the garam masala and added a tad more honey. It was delicious!

Reviewed Pulled Pork with Mango BBQ Sauce

"Tasty, tangy and sweet. My family loved it. It went especially well with the apple lime peanut slaw! The ginger in the pork added a nice flavor, but it was missing the "kick" that most bbq sauces have. Next time, I would add two or three serrano peppers or perhaps even some crushed red pepper.
