Made these for my little brother as an after school treat. He loves snicker doodles and he enjoyed these! I added vanilla (1 tsp) while mixing in the eggs. They came out chewy inside and crispy outside! Mom also loved them! Also, I sifted the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt more than once to ensure that it was all incorporated evenly.

Made this cake yesterday for an intimate birthday party. Everyone loved it! It was easy to make. I did not have cake flour so I substituted with All purpose flour minus 3 tablespoons. (The recipe calls for 1 1/2 C. cake flour, I used all-purpose flour subtracted 3 tbsps from 1 1/2 C.) Came out spongy and soft, but held its shape! I made the mistake...

I've been wanting to try this recipe and I finally just whipped it out a few mins ago. For such an easy recipe, its pretty yummy. Its plain chocolate cake, the texture was spongy and I liked that. Fluffy dessert and you can probably just add to it! I plan to put some chocolate chips. Melted chocolate on top of it would be delicious. "

This recipe is great! Really let it cool for at-least an hr I would say because they keep their shape and the chocolate really sets in! I used 1/2 C semi-sweet and 1/2 C of Dark Chocolate :) My friends love 'em!"
