"The grocery was waiting on a meat delivery so I ended up using ground turkey. I live in a small town so I wasn't going to pay $11 for gruyere cheese so I used the cheese we had brought home from Italy. Used dry sage and nutmeg since it was not available to me fresh. "WOW! This is a KEEPER! I didn't even have fresh basil so I shook in some dried in the dressing. I also used 3 LARGE garlic cloves. I was worried it would be overpowering, but once everything was mixed together....Oh My Gosh, was it GOOD!!! I didn't use the salt and only ground fresh pepper on top just because I am lazy. :) My husband said to let you know he ate the last of the bowl for desert!

Self taught cook. Married a US Marine so I had to learn to feed him. He was very patient while I worked out the kinks in the kitchen. Now we have two daughters in college and we ALL love to cook. Great recipes are wonderful to find and share with family and friends!
