Reviewed Ricotta Cake: Budino di Ricotta

"I will rate this one 3 stars only because the directions should include straining of the Ricotta. If the Ricotta is too wet this will not setup correctly. It should be similar to NY style cheesecake. "

Reviewed Chocolate Chip Cannoli Cupcake

"Sweetsismyname...you basically made a cassata cake. These cupcakes are a spin on the cake. Try brushing the cake lightly with a liquer like Amaretto, Frangelico or Strega! Before you add the Ricotta mixture and icing. Delicous!"

Reviewed Tandoori Spiced Chicken Breast with Grilled Tomato Jam and Herbed Yogurt Sauce

"SOME LIKE IT HOT! Bobby got this one right! I didn't make the sauces just the chicken. IT IS SPICY! I have also done this as a marinade using no cayenne pepper, then all of the remaining spices and mixing with Greek yogurt, garlic and onion it was fantastic! I have done this recipe with boneless thighs and wings as well! The wings were a huge hit. Great flavors thanks Bobby!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT LIKE SPICY CUT THE CAYENNE START WITH 1/2 A TSP MIX WITH THE OTHER SPICES AND TASTE IT THEN ADD TO YOUR DESIRED HEAT LEVEL.

I made this for a party and everyone asked for the recipe! Also if you try to use regular Paprika or black pepper or table salt this recipe will not taste the same. I gave this recipe to a friend at the party and she didn't have smoked paprika, white pepper, or kosher salt so she improvised and did not like it. She loved it at the party and hated it when she made it because the spices were different. "

About Me

I am pretty much a self taught cook. My grandmothers and mother guided me but I am a cook by taste. I don't usually measure so it is difficult for me to give out my recipes when people ask for them.
