"Wow, I was originally intimidated by tiramisu, but this turned out great. I made it for an Italian-themed dinner potluck on NYE and it was the hit of the night. I followed the directions exactly as provided, with a couple minor tweaks.
1) I was worried about the ladyfingers being too soggy, so I used a pastry brush to dip into the coffee/chocolate mixture and brush it on each ladyfinger a few times to saturate. It was great - maintained it's cakey consistency, not soggy, but still absorbed the flavor great.
2) I had some Kaluha laying around, so I added that (and the rum!) to the mixture. It tasted wonderful.
I highly recommend this recipe!!!
I'm just am a working woman with little time to cook, but when I do, I thoroughly enjoy it!
