Reviewed creamy lemon-pepper orzo with grilled chicken

Loved it. Did use half the lemon instead of whole based on prior reviews.

Based on reviews, I did not use the lemon in the water to cook the quinoa, and used the juice of one lemn in the dressing. It was great, just the right intensity of hte lemon. I did add 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts. "

6 stars. this was fantastic. We could barely talk while eatting this, with all the ohs and ahs. Not certain if the carrots and celery were meant to be eaten, but we increased the quantity and ate them. The juice was amazing. We saved it and put it on rice the next evening. . "

Need to add my comments to the chorus. This is just great. Fixed it for a Labor Day diner tonight with grilled lamp chops. I am going to have problems keeping from eating it before the guests arrive! Did use only 1/2 tsp salt and pine nuts."

We thought this was pretty tasteless, none of the punch that we were expecting. Needs twice as many beans for the amount of rice. ""

Reviewed Brownie Tart

Feb 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent. Easy to overbake. Read instructions that the middle will still be soft and gooey. Will definitely keep on my "good chocolate" lsit. ""

Reviewed Pear Clafouti

Feb 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

As all the others have said, this is easy and delicious. Watch the video to see how to cut the pears. That method probably makes a better presentation than slicing them and layering them on the dish as I did. I used regular brandy and it was still excellent. ""

Reviewed Dried Fruit Cookies

Jan 20, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was disappointed in these. Sherry flavor was very strong and cookies were not sweet at all. On my platters of cookies for Christmas, these cookies were the last to go. I think they need more color and sweetness, so would add more cherries and sugar if I make them again. ""

Great recipe and I loved the flavor. I used low-salt soy sauce and ended up adding salt. Also the amoutn of dressing can be drastically reduced. I doubled the pasta and vegetables, kept the dressing the same and still only used about half the dressing. Otherwise a great recipe for summer picnics, etc. "

tastes great. But recipe should be altered. I cooked the oats for 25 minutes and even that was probably 5 minutes too long. And switched the oil and honey amounts. Makes a very large amount."

Very easy to make. I agree that the ham and parmesan are a bit bland. Would probably be better with cheddar and bacon. family loved them anyway. And surprisingly, I thought they needed more salt. "

Reviewed Truffled Fillet of Beef Sandwiches

Feb 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Did this for Super Bowl SUnday in a condo during a ski vacation. So didn't have my own equipment. Family loved the sandwiches. I used truffle oil (first time I ever used it) mixed with butter. Clearly, the smell and taste are individual and we were split 50-50. I also made up a butter with garlic, champagne mustard and red wine vinegar. Preferred...
