Amazeballs. I took a few shortcuts to make it go faster, doubled the tomatoes, and used chicken breasts. But wow. WOW. Just delicious.

Reviewed Easy Chicken Burritos with Mojo

Dec 12, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I only made the mojo sauce and modified everything else to save time but it was a huge hit. It is fresh, flavorful, and adds just the right amount of spice. I'll reduce the amount of liquid next time so it isn't quite as runny, but the flavor is amazing.

Simple, yummy, fresh. I used salmon steaks instead of canned and will add more lemon zest + 20 min in the fridge for the patties next time. They were pretty soft in the pan. Overall, really good.

Yummy overall but I'll definitely cube the bread smaller, add more liquid, and increase the meat:bread ratio next time.

I bought the chestnuts for $6 total and roasted them myself. A bit more time consuming and frustrating to toss a few that had gone bad but they are easy to find and cheap!

Reviewed The Ultimate Caramel Apple Pie

Dec 2, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Overall, this pie is good, albeit too rich for some. I used a pre-made crust to save time. If I make it again, I'll add way more apple slices. They collapsed as they should have within the pie but I clearly didn't mound them well enough because my pies seemed about 1/2 full once they were baked. Also serve with ice cream.

The directions...

Really delicious! The key to keeping the skins intact is cooking them long enough the first time around. I've also made this gratin style and mashed. The flavor is great and my husband loves the subtle spice of the chilies. Real syrup is always the only way to go.

Delicious and incredibly easy. Also healthier than a lot of CCB recipes. Will keep it on the short list! Great with brie cheese too.

Thanks for another fool proof recipe, Alton! I swapped butter for the canola oil and it came out wonderfully. It was so moist and tender that the meat was falling off the bones. Will use this recipe next year too!

Reviewed Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with Warm Cider Vinaigrette

Nov 16, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious and super simple. I love warm salads and this fall treat hits the spot. I served it for a lunch party and it got rave reviews. Adding this one to the staple list!

Reviewed Chicken Piccata

Nov 15, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Do not skip the butterflying. I forgot and the sauce burned because it took so long for the chicken to cook. I'll also reduce the amount of capers next time around. Otherwise, a lot of delicious flavor!

Incredibly easy and delicious. I added extra garlic and red pepper flakes but I love how simple this is!

This was pretty tasty. Blanch the kale, consider adding some sausage and hot pepper flakes and serve with jambalaya.

Reviewed Brined Pork Loin with Molasses-Mustard Glaze, Sour Mash Sauce and Apple Butter

Oct 17, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

This was the second time I've made it and it was an even bigger success this time around. I skipped the brining and apple butter completely to save time and the pork was still tender and delicious. I did forget how long it takes for the sauce to reduce (definitely start that shortly after putting the pork in the oven) but it was so, so, so good. I...

Reviewed Baked Tilapia With Coconut-Cilantro Sauce

Oct 12, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Bummer! I really wanted this to be delicious but it lacks depth. The cilantro and coconut flavor is great but it just fell flat. I'm not sure if a spicier curry paste in place of the garam masala would do the trick, or perhaps some added lime...? I'll be working to tweak this but it definitely lacks the "it's so good I want to drink the sauce" flavor...
