Reviewed Ginger Cookies

"Oh hi, new favorite ginger cookie recipe. This is very similar in taste and chewiness to Starbucks' molasses cookies if you are familiar with them. Super easy to make, and even quicker to bake. Thanks Paula. ^_^""

Reviewed Collard Greens

"Great recipe! A little salty; the smoked turkey legs I used were salty in addition to what was added. I'll cut back next time. Definitely a keeper.""

Reviewed Buttermilk Baked Chicken

"Very moist as the previous folks stated...mm! I subbed Italian breadcrumbs for the cornflakes. Still came out pretty crispy without the proper wire rack, but will definitely use the rack next time. I let it marinate in the buttermilk herb mixture for about 4 hours. I removed the skin off of the breast and thigh to save calories but left it on the ""

Reviewed French Onion Soup

"Perfect blend of flavors! Seriously tastes just like Panera's--I've found my go to recipe! As everyone else commented, each stage took a bit longer than stated (carmelizing and cooking out the wine), but well worth it. Came out a bit watery, but corn starch could've fixed that. Subbed regular aged swiss for Gruyere this time. Definitely would reco""

Reviewed Pumpkin Bread

"Great recipe! Fresh pumpkin wasn't available in stores yet, tried it with canned pumpkin and used about 2 1/2 cups instead for moisture control. Substituted half whole wheat flour and half all purpose. Yummy. Definitely a keeper.""

Reviewed Momma Callie's Banana Nut Bread with Honey Butter

"Yummy! Like everyone and their mom said--it's very moist! I was afraid of trying this recipe at high altitude because I haven't baked much at this elevation, so I left out the baking soda, used 1/3 less baking powder, room temperature (large) eggs, and put in a little less sugar.

And unrelated, subbed walnuts instead of pecans. I didn't have a problem with the top crisping, but it may be due to the high altitude or folks not using a sheet pan underneath the loaf pan? Either way, a keeper =)

Reviewed Rum Balls

"Uhh. Delicious! And super easy--great for party favors or work parties...just neglect to address the rum ;)

Reviewed Jerk Rubbed Chicken Thighs with Home-Made Mango-Habanero Hot Sauce

"I remember at the very end, switching it up to be less spicy for the folks I was serving, and I do regret that. I'd have to marinade longer and get fresher cuts to get a jucier thigh. I ended up serving these in home-made quesadillas (good idea - not so good timing)--in my defense, I'd had way too much vodka to be cooking in the first place. I'll try this again sober =)
