Reviewed Zea Grits

May 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

A super filling and flavorful side and often we use as a main dish.
I do like to season the corn when grilling so if you do might need to cut down on the amount of salt used on the grits.

Using fresh corn makes a world of difference. I've tried it both ways, with frozen corn or fresh off the cob and fresh off the cob is...

5 stars...yes it's deserving of 5 stars.
If you want that New England feel of fish and chips this is what you want to make. The batter is perfect, not too thick not thin and perfectly crispy.
I did tweek it a bit with the sub of Old Bay instead of salt and I didn't make up the whole giant batch of House Seasoning. I chose to...

So there is a reason why you keep seeing review after review with 5 stars. Yes, because it's that good.
While I'm a grilled steak sort of gal, sometimes it's just not possible and for ribeyes this is the go to method for me.
Can't say enough good things about cooking a ribeye this way.
Don't hesitate one second, give it...

I have to agree with others, get the bigger tubes, if you go smaller it's one heck of a job trying to fill those buggers! Was a two person job here.

Not sure I would make this again, while it was tasty, seemed like it was a fair bit of work, costly and the results just didn't blow me off my feet and I love any sort of seafood.
One...

Amazingly tasty and easy dish to make and will, for sure, fill the bellies of all who partake in chowing down.
I pretty much followed the directions exactly other then leaving out the bay leaves. Just not a fan of bay leaves. I would next time add some more onion and leave them in a rougher chop.

It's my first time...

This recipe is a winner!
I like to experiment a bit so I often will change up the types of mushrooms. Instead of just using the normal boring white buttons I'll use baby portabellas, shitakis, or any other hearty mushroom. Add some extra flavor to an already super flavorful dish.

Also I like to purchase good quality...

By far the best mac and cheese ever!
Yes, it's a bit costly, yes it's a bit labor intensive but by gawd it's the best mac and cheese ever and so worth the cost and work.

I change up the cheeses and add in a sharp cheddar sometimes and always use a parm/reg mix instead of just the parm. Have some fun with it and add the...
