I am preparing to make this recipe tonight & wanted to read reviews before choosing a specific recipe. I agree beef tenderloin can be expensive & I do not purchase it often but I have found a way to purchase it less expensively. We have several restaurant supply stores in our area (Nashville, TN) & I a pop in there every now and again....

I really enjoyed this recipe very much. The flavor was wonderful. The waffles were light and the egg flavor came through well. The reason I gave this only 4 stars is because of the unclear instructions. The eggs are specifically separated on the list of ingredients. Instructions state separate the eggs and instructions are given to whip the 3 egg"

After reading all the rave reviews I selected this for a large crowd. It did not live up to its reviews. The ginger overwhelmed the pears and it just cried out for more flavor. I do not recommend this recipe."

Outstanding! This recipe was luscious and incredibly flavorful. I prepared this for a large crowd, it was the crowning touch on a neighborhood progressive dinner. Everyone raved about the recipe. The amaretto sauce was delicious and so simple to prepare. Best of all I was able to prepare it ahead of time and serve it with ease. Thank you Giada!"

This recipe ROCKS! It is simple, extremely easy and the taste is out of this world. Everyone I have made this for has asked for the recipe. The most difficult part of the recipe was finding smoked salt which I did at our local Whole Foods store. Plan ahead for the salt! I have had this with orzo & with other pastas and it is outstanding anyway y"
