My Activity

Reviewed Lowcountry Smothered Pork Chops

"This was a hit. I had a lot of broth with pieces of onion and peppers left in the pan. I used my stick blender and it became a delicious soup that my husband wants me to repeat. ""

Reviewed Smothered Pork Chops

"I used this recipe as a starting point for something different to do with pork chops. I dredged the chops in flour, smoked paprika, salt and pepper. I seared them in my cast iron skillet and then removed them to a plate. I then caramelized a half of an onion and tossed in about a cup of chopped up fresh green beans in the pan drippings. The smell in my kitchen was incredibly good. I then put the chops back in the cast iron skillet, put the onion and green beans on top of them and poured a can of SW Tomatoes with garlic, oregano and basil over all. The dish was excellent and I would never have accomplished it without the basics I learned from this recipe. You rock Big Daddy!"
