If you use a good quality frozen pea you will LOVE this recipe!!!! I did add more cheese to taste, which made more creamy and countered the sweetness of the pea. The color was so bright and beautiful... its not expensive or time consuming SOOO worth trying. Took to a (Mommy's) Wine and cheese party... It was the talk of the party! Couldn't be happ"

Excellent!! After reading others reviews I made one adjustment that I think made a world of difference, Instead of adding the dry lentils I soaked them for 4 hours prior to making this dish... This kept my bacon crisp as I'm not crazy about soggy bacon :) By doing this the lentils were already al dente so it was just a matter of heating them up. T"
