Reviewed Walnut and Blue Cheese Grapes
"Recommended to me by a friend who made them for a Super Bowl party....they were GREAT! Next time will use the food processor to chop the walnuts before making the cheese mixture...."finely chopped nuts" take awhile doing them by hand."
Reviewed Chocolate Zabaglione Tiramisu
"Delish!!! 1/2'ed the recipe for 3 of us.....there wasn't enough chocolate zabaglione for "two heaping tablespoons" for the layers....so, used less cake....but, it was still AWESOME!!! Will definitely be making this again! (Maybe even tonight since we still have left over cake....)"
Reviewed Whiskey Tri-Tip
"Yum! Marinated all day while at work....served with sauteed garlic mushrooms and mashed sweet potatoes. To be honest....looked like it might need a gravy when we were done cooking it.....but, didn't needed it! Tender and juicy! (although, I should've let it rest more than 5 mins....it was a smaller piece)"
Reviewed French Onion Soup
"Awesome! But, only gave 4 stars because it took 3x as long to caramelize the onions....even after adding some sugar to try to assist the process. I also cooked the wine down, but would probably never get the onions to be "dry" since they were still sweating after over an hour. So, after over 3 hours in the kitchen....had a wonderful soup!!! Reviewed Penne with Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese
"A friend made this for dinner....AWESOME! Especially since we had grilled chicken breasts with it! (Which I just re-heated the combo for lunch, with a little extra chicken broth.....yum!)"
Reviewed Spaghettini with Chopped Shrimp and Scallops in Rich Broth
"Ok, will admit I didn't follow the directions to a "T" (like I was using frozen scallops and I wanted to leave them whole and just cut the shrimp in half to match the size), but it was AWESOME! First off, already had shrimp stock, so just sauteed some garlic and fresh cayanne pepper in olive oil....added some wine, reduced; added the shrimp stock"
Reviewed Root Beer Glazed Pork Chops with Bourbon-Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Caramelized Onions
"Only gave 4 stars because I only made the sweet potatoes......they are worth 5 stars!!!!"
Reviewed Pork Chops with Mustard Bourbon Sauce
"I was expecting more sauce. Made as directed even though there were only 2 of us....very flavorful! And, glad I didn't half! Also, followed a previous post recommendation for putting the chops in the oven while making the sauce.....good thing because they weren't quite done after spending 10 min in the fry pan (they were 2 inches, bone-in)....b"
