Reviewed Double Fudge Cake with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

The flavor was good, but it was very dry. I thought it was strange that it only called for a half cup of buttermilk and I almost used 1 1/2 cups. I should've followed my instinct and done that and I'm sure it would have been a great cake. I know Ina wouldn't have a dry cake."

I tried this recipe but didn't care for it using the boiling water - it was too thin and bitter - so I changed it up buy replacing the hot water with hot unsweetened vanilla almond milk. That made all the difference in the world! The pudding was creamy and thicker. I'm sure regular milk would work as well."
