My Activity

Reviewed Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

"This was great! Especially for someone on weight watchers. To make it WW friendly, I used half butter and half applesauce. It cut down on the fat quite a bit. As far as serving size, I ended up with 63 cookies (after cutting the recipe in half!) So, it was great. Its more like a crisp than a cookie though. I also added a 1/4 tsp of cinnamon which "

Reviewed Tuscan White Bean and Garlic Soup

"This was a good idea, but I felt needed some adjusting. I have made it many times, and have figured out what I think works.
- I add about 5 cloves of garlic, and roughly chop them and then saute them towards the end with the onions. ( speaking of, I use about a half an onion because they tend to be a better value than shallots, and its perfect)

Reviewed Mexican Chicken Soup

"Very yummy! I couldn't find the whole tomatoes in puree, so I just added a jar of tomato puree and it was delish! I also added a teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, which added a very nice flavor. I'm not a big soup person, but I really enjoyed this one!

Reviewed Gold Medal Sizzling Fajitas

"The marinade was amazing, I used it on chicken! I didn't add hot sauce, but instead I added a teaspoon of Cajun seasoning. I couldn't stop eating it! I marinated the chicken overnight. I'm not quite sure if the lemon juice affected the texture at all, but it was sooo yumyum!"

Reviewed Lemon Chicken Soup with Spaghetti

"My least favorite food is chicken noodle soup. I decided to make this because my poor hubby came down with a cold, and I hate feeding him that gross canned soup. He couldn't believe it when I actually poured myself a bowl and ate the whole thing! It smelled so yummy that I just had to try it. He loved it and I loved it too. I can't think of a better soup for someone with a cold, or someone without one!

Reviewed Cheddar Corn Chowder

"This really should be called Cheddar Corn Soup. The flavors were ok. I didn't add as many onions as Ina said, and it still seemed really oniony. I added extra half n half, trying to get the desired consistency. I also blended half that soup, and that seemed to help a little. I really only taste the onions and chicken stock, and I love onions ( but dislike chicken stock, yech) but I was hoping for other flavors other than onions and chicken stock. The chowder is palatable, but not fantastic for the work and the ingredients.
