My Activity

Reviewed Carrot and Pineapple Cake

"I am certain the frosting is wonderful, but try this cake WITHOUT the frosting! Fabulously light--just the right amount of sweet. A hit at our house."

Reviewed Sugar Cookies

"Just had a Valentine's Day party for the neighbor twin 9yr olds, their best friend and their Grandmother. The cookies were excellent. Only thing I did was to add a bit of vanilla and grated rind of one lemon. After refrigerating as directed, the texture of the dough was very easy to work with and even re-roll scraps. And, of course, the girls loved the decorating part. I now have the perfect sugar cookie recipe.

Reviewed Mama's Divinity

"I have made Divinity every Xmas over the last 20 years for friends and family. When I saw Paula's recipe for a larger batch, I thought i would try it and I am never going back!! Beating it (usually 15+ min) to just the right texture/consistency is always the tricky part. With this recipe, I beat it for under 10 minutes and it was easy to deal with and handle right to the last spoonful. Perfect texture! I am thrilled to be able to serve and gift this perfect, old-fashioned divinity this year.

Reviewed Hurry Up Chicken Pot Pie

"I always make my biscuits from scratch but had a small box of biscuit mix in the cupboard for ages and thought this would be good use. Left out the eggs, sprinkled in a little dried onion flakes and cubed cooked potatoes. Came out perfect. i have recommended this one to all my friends!

Reviewed Roast Pork Loin with Apples

"We totally agree with all the other reviewers--don't change a thing. My husband doesn't eat vegetables, but the first thing said was how much he loved these! Cooking the meat in 30 min was amazing. This is definitely a keeper for a company dinner or cold night by the fire.
