NO NO NO. I followed this recipe to a T, as well. I was looking for a creamy, smooth mac and cheese with that crunchy top. I have to start by saying, I used mild cheddar instead of sharp. That is something I would change. Definitely use the SHARP CHEDDAR b/c I could barely taste the cheese. It tasted very bland and the onion and bay leaf fla"
