Perfect. Ina strikes again! The only change I made was to add a little more crushed red and a little more parsley. The only thing I would stress is to use good quality ingredients. Really fresh (not frozen) shrimp and good quality (Italian-made) dried pasta make the dish a star.

Perfect recipe. Suggestion for prep: if the tomatillo husks are sticking to the fruit and too difficult to remove, try soaking them in warm water for five minutes (while the fruit is whole). They come right off.

I've tried many Cacciatore recipes over the years, and this is my very favorite. The only change I make is to use all thighs or thighs and drumsticks instead of breast meat. I think they stand up better to this type of cooking.

Love Anne and most of her recipes. Followed this one to the letter, but increased the garlic, as some have suggested here. It was still under-flavored. Was not a hit at Christmas dinner. I don't think I'll be making this again.

I would give this recipe six stars if that were possible! The only variation I made from the original recipe was to use all boneless, skinless chicken thighs. It is in the Top 5 of my family's favorite dinners!

I had some extra Gala apples around and I decided to give this a try. I cut the white sugar to 1/2 cup, added 1/4 cup of light brown sugar and added about 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon. Other than that, I followed the recipe as directed. Total winner! Family loved it! I think next time if I use Gala apples I'll cut the white sugar back even more"

I made this for a holiday dinner, after reading all the reviews. I cut the salt by half, used kosher salt and still the crust was too salty, but most of the meat tasted bland. Those were the only modification I made; followed everything else to the 'T". I don't think I'll make this again."
