Reviewed Slow-Cooker Split Pea Soup

"I visit the site, but don't write a lot of reviews. But this one's worth the effort. Holy cow. The reviewer hairjunky nailed it: it's PACKED with flavor. And it's incredibly easy to make. It took me 15 minutes to prep it before I left for work one day. I came back to a slower cooker full of rich, flavorful soup. And I don't really even like soup, especially split pea soup.

The smoked turkey legs seem like a rare ingredient, but they're in most grocery stores in the packaged meat section near sausages and uncommon meats like duck, veal, etc. I'm never paid more than $5-6 for two legs (about 1.5 lb - what the recipe calls for). "
