"I had high hopes for this recipe but have to admit I was not overly impressed. It was good, it just wasn't great. I was surprised how little fragrance this had while cooking (7 hrs!). Well that lack of flavor was followed up with a a fairly bland taste. It was just ok overall. I would eat it again but it's definitely not a very memorable recipe, which we followed to the letter.

"I think it's funny that others are pointing out that Chorizo is greasy. Is this the first time you've had this sausage? All sausage is greasy, but yes this sausage is especially greasy. That said, this is a pretty good recipe for a home based fundido. It's pretty similar to what we have at our local mexican restaurant. My wife is mexican and she liked it. This isn't amazing but it is authentic and tasty.
