My Activity

Reviewed French Onions

"This was SO GOOD!! I made homemade croutons out of french bread. I can't imagine using the store bought, I just don't think it would taste right. Other than that, don't change a thing. It was the perfect side to steak and so easy. YUM!"

Reviewed Avocado and Edamame Salad

"Didn't love it. Weird combination of tastes.........maybe it was the sun dried tomatoes. Anyways, I would not make again."

Reviewed Grilled Mahi-Mahi with Black Bean Salsa

"This was really a great, healthy and easy dish! I loved it!! It absolutely was not too salty. The orange juice, ketchup and honey actually made the marinade sweet so I don't know how anyone could say it was too salty. The salsa made it! The only thing I did differently was I made a vinaigrette with the lime juice for the salsa: used evoo, lime jui""

Reviewed Hidden Mint Cookies

"These were really good. I could not find the wafers, so I used chocolate mint squares. My only suggestion is that you chop the chocolate squares up and sprinkle between the cookie layers. The dough spread SO much, that the chocolate square just sat like a large lump in the middle. But the taste was fantastic and VERY easy!""

Reviewed Provoleta

"She did not put the tomatoes on a sheet tray in the show. She put them in an oval gratin dish (added S,P & EVOO) and then topped with cheese, broiled and then topped with chopped fresh oregano out of the oven..........I really wish Food Network et al would proof read their recipes better!""

Reviewed Nutty Pasta

"I gave it 5 stars because it just tasted fabulous! However, I agree with the other reviewer that it would have been helpful to be more specific on ingredient quantities. I found myself spending more time than I should have adding more of this, that and the other to finally complete the dish (try including fresh basil and a clove of garlic).....but""

Reviewed Mussels with Chorizo

"Do NOT use the mussel water! This has got to be a mistake. I also used 1/2 wine/1/2 chicken broth as I felt the wine was too strong by itself, even after simmering for 10 minutes (IMHO). The chorizo has a great taste. I also added chopped tomatoes when cooking the onions and a squeeze of lemon as the reviewer below did. Lastly, I put the chorizo back in the pot with all the other ingredients to simmer before adding the mussels. It tasted great....but LEAVE OUT THE WATER!"
