About Me

I moved with my son & the dog to metro Atlanta area in June'07 from the Houston, TX area. My husband's company required his presence several months earlier so we were happy to be together under one roof again. It's tough to leave behind family & friends (we're both native Houstoniansbut I'm sure we'll make new friends here. Since my DH has been surviving on fast food and I am a stress eater, we both are determined to get back to healty eating. My DH doesn't care much for pork so I don't have much opportunity to prepare pork based dishes. I previously cashiered in the cafeteria of the private school my son attended for 8 years which gave me time off in the summer and defrayed the cost of the tuition. As soon as school starts again, I'll be hitting the bricks to find a job. I have several cases of cookbooks as well as a packing case of recipes that I've saved over the years. Since I have a bit of down time before school starts, I'm hoping to add some of these to this site.

Favorite Foods

Anything Tex-Mex (or Old Mexico), most Asian foods (any country), seafood (although I don't do oysters), country style cooking, love salads and fresh veggies.
