This is a great recipe all around. The basis of the sauce can be used for several other dishes. This is fantastic when cooked with some lightly grilled chicken breasts instead of shrimp. Also, the sauce itself can be made in a half-batch and then poured over garlic or cheese bread for a great appetizer or side."

This recipe is absolutely terrible. Bar none the worst I've found to date. It is unreasonably time-consuming for a cabbage recipe, and the amount of braising liquid that is recommended is ridiculously low. Be prepared to use over 10 cups if you cook for the full 2 hours, unless you like scrubbing your pots. The seasoning mix that they recommen"
