Reviewed Homemade Dinner Rolls

Apr 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Amazing rolls... Even my husband (not a bread guy) ate two and a half. Simple as well. I sprinkled chopped rosemary and truffle salt to 6 of them as an experiment and that was lovely as well. "

Reviewed Simple Perfect Enchiladas

Feb 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These enchiladas were delicious. My husband loved them. They are definitely more of a "cowboy" enchilada and not authentic Mexican (or even authentic Tex-Mex). Not super spicy so great for the kiddos, too."

These are awesome! Made them the night before but covered with Saran Wrap after they were placed in the pan (before 2nd rise). I put them out on top of warm oven in the morning for 45 minutes and proceeded with directions. I topped with cream cheese frosting. Wonderful! We definitely prefer the taste of white sugar in our cinnamon rolls. "

Delicious. My husband and I loved it. I definitely think the slaw makes it... ""

Fantastic....simple and delicious! I suspect she uses more butter than it calls for but this was a keeper!""

Reviewed Spaghetti with Asparagus, Smoked Mozzarella and Prosciutto

Feb 6, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely delicious...Simple and so tasty. My husband, who is not the biggest fan of asparagus, loved it as well. Would be a great spring/summer dinner.""

Reviewed Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with Warm Cider Vinaigrette

Oct 16, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Incredible... Not only is this the best salad I have ever made, it is probably the best salad I have ever had. The flavors of fall come together really well. Everyone in the family adored this dish.""

Reviewed Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers

Sep 26, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Used peppered bacon and added 1 teaspoon of Montreal seasoning... VERY yummy. I think it would be great with pepperjack or even a nice blue cheese for more flavor.""

Reviewed Pasta Primavera

Aug 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Tried this for Meatless Monday... Delicious and satisfying. Roasting the veggies definitely brings out their natural sweetness and yumminess and MAKES this dish. Even my five year old loved it.""

Reviewed Southwestern Avocado and Black Bean Salad

May 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a tasty, fresh salad. I felt like the dressing was lacking something (maybe more hot sauce???) but I am not sure what."

Reviewed Classic Italian Lasagna

May 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Normally, I love Giada's recipes, but this one is mediocre at best. It was a lot of work for something that is just "okay". "

Reviewed Sweet Potato Biscuits

May 4, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Thought these were great, with a nice sweet potato (although maybe that depends on the flavor of the particular sweet potato you use). I sprinkled a TEENSY bit of sugar on the top when they came out of the oven. My husband, who is not a big eater, said he could have eaten 35 of them."

Reviewed Sweet Potato Pancakes

Apr 26, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were GREAT pancakes! I used a leftover baked sweet potato, followed the recipe exactly, and my family loved them. I made them on a weekday morning so no time to make the pecan butter but I am definitely going to try that next time!"

Reviewed Strawberry Pancakes With Mamma Callie's Syrup

Mar 6, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very good... Husband and son devoured them! I am normally a maple syrup person (and I mean 100% REAL maple syrup) but I made the brown sugar sauce and it really worked with the strawberries. The batter is THICK so watch it to make sure it is really cooked before you pull it off the griddle. "

Reviewed Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits

Jan 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These are awesome! I would give them 6 stars if I could. I watched her make them on the show, English cheddar was on sale at Whole Foods, and voila! We ended up with an amazing Sunday breakfast. I followed the recipe exactly and they were perfect!

It wasn't inedible, but it just wasn't as great as I expected it to be.
