Reviewed Dragon's Breath Chili

Dec 20, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Pros:
1 This chili tastes VERY good! It was devoured at a work party, though it definitely has a kick. Being from TX myself, I didn't know how my California coworkers would respond, but it was all positive.
2 It makes a lot of chili. My large pot was filled to the brim, and I constantly had to check it to make sure it didn't bubble...

Reviewed Sweet Dreams Chocolate Fudge Candy

Jul 16, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This fudge had a great taste to it. However, it didn't set completely - I was so afraid I was going to overcook it, I think I accidentally undercooked :(
I skipped the chopped nuts. Instead, I added a half teaspoon of orange extract to the batter and grated some orange zest on top.
My coworkers went crazy over it, even though it...

Reviewed Pat's Famous Beef and Pork Chili

May 13, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This chili is super tasty. My husband says it's the best chili recipe he's ever tasted, and he's hard to please. :) It's also not hard to make. The smoked paprika and chipotle chili powder were a little hard to find, but they're so worth it!"

Reviewed Chicken Tortilla Soup

Dec 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This soup tasted good, especially for how easy it is to make and how little time it takes to cook. However, it didn't knock my socks off.
My husband complained of major heartburn/indegestion after eating this for dinner, so those with weak stomachs beware!"

Reviewed Dragon's Breath Chili

Nov 19, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Pros:
1) This chili tastes very good! I didn't think it was spicy at all (using 2 of the 3 recommended tablespoons of chili pepper), but my husband said his nose was running after eating a whole bowl.
2) It makes a lot of chili. My large pot was filled to the brim.
Cons:
1) Whoever estimated the 'prep' and 'cook'...

Reviewed Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Nov 13, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I would give the chicken by itself four stars. It was delicous right out of the oven and for about an hour afterwards. Leftovers are out of the question because the crust becomes very soggy. The sauce was not very good either, and I'd give it 2 stars. My husband and I ended up eating the chicken with premade dressing."

Reviewed Mac and Cheese

Nov 13, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was a little worried when the dish looked soupy right ouf of the oven. However, it set very nicely after about 10 minutes.
I read some of the previous comments about the taste being bland. I substituted a few ounces of gruyere for pepper jack cheese to give it a little kick.
Even the leftovers are delicious!"

Reviewed New Potato Salad

Nov 12, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is my go-to potato salad recipe. It makes plenty and was a big hit on several occassions!"

Reviewed Old-Fashioned Meat Loaf- A.K.A 'Basic' Meat Loaf

Oct 31, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've tried this recipe twice, both times sticking to the measurements precisely. The first time, it came out perfect. The second time, it tasted great but was very soggy. I still give it five stars for taste. My husband doesn't want his mother to find out that he's finally eating meatloaf after complaining about hers for his entire childhood :oP"

My husband enjoyed these a lot, but I wasn't wild about them."

Reviewed Pot Roast

Oct 31, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is the best thing to come home to after a long day's work. It's so simple to throw together in the morning and leave to simmer all day. It's definitely a winter go-to recipe!"

Reviewed Pumpkin Cheesecake

Oct 31, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is the only cheesecake recipe I've ever tried, and for me there's no reason to stray. It comes out wonderfully each time, and it's so simple to make."

Reviewed Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oct 31, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My husband described these as not only the best chocolate chip cookies he's ever had, but possibly the best cookies period. I doubled the pumpkin spices as a previous reviewer suggested. You might think the chocolate with the pumpkin would be weird, but it's not. You don't necessarily taste both at the same time, so each bite is a bit different. "
