My Activity

Reviewed Chicken and Biscuit Pot Pie

"This was a hit with my family. Everyone had 2nd servings. My 8 year old said, "This one is a keeper!" I made it a second time and added some tarragon. I spread the dough over the top to create a "crust" rather than in biscuit form. I think that says it all."

Reviewed Rum Raisin Tiramisu

"My friends and I liked this dessert. I would use a 9x9 glass baking dish next time. I had a 9x13 and that is waaayyy too big. I made individual servings instead. I used Myer's Dark Rum because I already had a bottle of it. I agree the rum portion should be reduced.""

Reviewed Pastitsio

"Made this recipe several times. Great to share with friends and family for a small group meal. Takes about 3 hours in the kitchen, so good for a stay-at-home day. Pairs well with Shiraz. Easy to make, but takes some time and patience. Best pastitsio recipe I have found to date. Be sure to sip some red wine while preparing this.""

Reviewed Country Bread Stuffing

"Not awful, but bland. No reason to make again. I have a better stuffing recipe. I think the quality of the whole wheat bread may have been a factor. 5 out of 5 family members thought it was so-so. No one went for seconds. Even the dog would not eat it. The leftovers were fed to the squirrels out back. ""

Reviewed Leek Mashed Potatoes

"I used one leek instead of two. Good recipe. Went well with the Pinot Noir. Nice change from standard mashed potatoes. Easy to make.""

Reviewed Triple Citrus Buttered Turkey

"I appreciated this recipe as a person who lives in the middle of Florida orange groves. Nice, moist flavorful turkey. Family liked it. I did need to use more juice for basting the turkey. So, I juiced an extra lemon, lime, and orange and put a little more juice and butter on top of the turkey while baking. Straight forward, easy recipe.""

Reviewed Pumpkin Tiramisu

"This is a pleasant dessert that adults will probably like more than children as my daughter states. This can be made the night before for time-management convenience. I made it in an 8 1/2" by 8 1/2" glass baking dish rather than individual servings. 9X9 will work as well. My whole family liked this dessert, except my daughter.""
