Reviewed Chicken with Rice (Arroz con Pollo
"Are you kidding me???? I cook for a living, so I can promise you I did this correctly, but WOW, I got all the special ingredients, roasted my own red peppers, made my own achiote oil and sofrito. I even added twice the garlic to the sofrito, and twice the sofrito to the recipe! The chicken and the rice was beautifully cooked, but bland, bland, BLAND. Don't waste your time. Or at least don't bother to make your own sofrito or achiote oil. Huge waste of time. If it wasn't for the fresh cilantro, and roasted red peppers on top, it wouldn't have tasted like anything."
I own a little diner in Vermont. Cooking and baking are my life and my livelihood , even though its KILLING ME!!!!!!
