THIS is the BEST cornbread I have ever had had / or made!
We order in stone ground organic white corn meal ordered off of the web. It is pretty inexpensive! I like the stone ground because it has a courser grind to it. I use the same recipe but I use the whole pint of buttermilk. I delay adding in the baking powder and baking soda...

Something didn';t go right. It looked and smelled funny. Got some water from the "pot" in the bathroom, added ice and heated up to boiling. No matter how much I boiled it, I couldn';t boil the S#@t out of it."

The pictures and skill of the chef';s make these look worse than these are.

Spices are well balanced.

Patties need to be pressed out with care. All equally sized, and don';t forget to dimple the center to keep it from puffing up."

Yummy! This is great as is! I prefer to add a little kosher salt in with the pepper, and at least 2 cloves of garlic. It is a must to check the meat with a thermometer to not over do it. Remember, after pulling it from the oven it will coast up a few more degrees. The wait time before carving is a MUST. Don';t lose all those wonderful ...

I think this is a natural progression type of recipe. I started making these in the 1960';s while trying to get a fix for my french fry desires. I always thought I had invented the thing. Lol! I made the mistake of showing my 7 and 8 year old sons this easy dish about 10 years ago. They still make them, trying different things to modi...

My boys and I love peanut butter! I only use Jif reduced fat peanut butter because it is like the PB I grew up on in the 70';s, before they made it more spreadable by adding more oil. I think it is the "peanutiest" of the major brands too.

Amazing flavor for such an easy to prepare meal."

O.K! First off, this recipe is too good! I set it out after cooking, and my two adult sons devoured the whole dish. I got nothing! It looked really good. It smelled really good. I did taste the filling as I made it and I thought this would be scrumptious when done.... I will have to try again when they aren';t at home.
