Reviewed Broiled Salmon with Herb Mustard Glaze

Apr 30, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The glaze was a little too tart/sharp for me. I think I will cut back on the dijon mustard next time. That said, the recipe is incredibly easy to follow and is done in no time."

Reviewed Thai Iced Tea

Jun 27, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Finally! Finally a Thai Iced Tea recipe I can do at home. The flavor isn't exactly like what I've had in Thai restaurants but it is close enough for my tastes. I do think I will either halve the sugar or omit it entirely next time, as the drink was plenty sweet. Thanks, Giada!"

Reviewed Whole Roasted Chicken Infused with Tangerines and Rosemary with a Tangerine Glaze

May 14, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great recipe. It took a bit longer to cook than advised in the recipe but that isn't uncommon. I enjoyed the flavor but wished more of the rosemary flavor had come through. The glaze was a great accompaniment, having a bit of a sweet and sour flavor. The tangerine flavor was just right. Overall, a very tasty and attractive dish."

Reviewed Champagne Vanilla Sauce

May 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very nice. Just made this for my family on Mother's Day and everyone was pleased. I served it over seared sea scallops and shrimp. I find this to be a much better recipe than Emeril's Champagne Vanilla Butter Sauce which ended up separating and turning into nothing but melted butter in the end. This was much easier and resulted in a product with b"

These were different and I enjoyed the twist the mint gave to the mushrooms. That being said, this is not one of my favorite recipes for mushrooms but I did enjoy the fresh take on them."

Reviewed Spinach and Bacon Quiche

Apr 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

OMG, this recipe is spot-on! So incredible. At first, I could not understand why Paula would call for putting the custard in a food processor. Since I didn't have a large one at that time, I opted to put it in my Kitchenaid mixer. My goodness, I get it now. So light and fluffy! Wonderful. The bacon and spinach are a great combo. Reviewed Turkey Meatloaf with Feta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Apr 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Well, I loved it! Only thing is we felt a bit overwhelmed by the garlic. Next time, I will definitely omit that or add just a pinch. Otherwise, Giada has found a way to make turkey meatloaf savory and moist. "

Reviewed Buttermilk Baked Chicken

Apr 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Fantastic! The coating gives the chicken a great crunchy texture which mimics fried chicken while the meat remains wonderfully moist. The buttermilk makes the chicken slightly sweet which I positively love. I've made this a couple of times and it was a big hit with the family on both occasions. Thanks for the recipe Pat & Gina. "
