This soup received compliments from all who enjoyed a bowl. I used a can of Muir Glen fire-roasted diced tomatoes and they required only the minimum amounts of the sugar and chicken base called for in the recipe.

Very nice recipe. The sauce was very smooth and creamy. I generally allow my bechamel to thicken over very low heat, stirring every once and awhile, while I cook the pasta. I';ve never had gritty mac and cheese when I take my time and use lower temperatures.

Next time, I might add some super smokey bacon and then pop...

Delicious and so wonderfully simple to prepare. I served it over a mound of hot, steamed veggies (broc, cauli, carrots) for a flavorful and quick dinner. I did use unsalted butter and that was the right choice for me."

Reviewed Senor Pico's Picante Sauce

Very nice picante sauce that complimented chili rellenos quite nicely. I';m used to heavier, spicier sauce and this was a nice change that everyone at the dinner table enjoyed. I will also use this recipe for dishes that call for tomato sauce when I want to give that dish a mild but flavorful tex-mex twist.

Delicious buttery smooth caramels which are perfect for Valentine's Day!

I only had salted butter so I decreased the salt a tiny bit to adjust. I added 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar to ward off any evil crystalization spirits.

I allowed the syrup mixture to get to 350 degrees before I added the cream mixture....
