"Excellent, excellent, excellent. I love Tyler's recipes because he always delivers. No doctoring necessary. Mommahahn: I have never had good experiences with freezing potatoes. I can't say that it won't work but I haven't had success. The potatoes have been mealy and not pleasant at all after thawing."
About Me
I am grandmother to 6, four of which are my "sous chefs" and we love to cook together. I am a caterer and certified cake decorator...wedding cakes are my favorite to make. I have recently begun to hold cooking and cake deco classes in my home and hope to have my own blog soon. Some of my other passions are crafting and gardening. I need no more inspiration to cook than to wake up in the morning. I am a Food Network, Cooking Channel junkie and spend many hours online looking for recipes that I can personalize and/or use in my classes.
Favorite Foods
I love to cook anything but one of my favorite things to do is fuse my own style with the styles of other cultures. I am known for my chocolate icing. If they only knew how simple it is to make, no one would pay me to do it. I'm also known for my sauces. I am bold in my wish to come up with ever better mayo concoctions and meat sauces. My favorite restaurant is a converted church here in Norfolk called Freemason Abbey. They have the best She Crab soup and flatbread I've ever tasted. I haven't been able to recreate the soup but have come real close.
