Easy and delicious. May take another reader's suggestion to add sun dried tomatoes. "

Easy, seems even creamier with the addition of buttermilk. Some recipes don't have it, you use vinegar instead. I like this variation with cooling on the stove too."

Well, I had a feeling 1.5 hours at 350 F would be too long. So I may follow others and cut the time down a bit. The chicken came out moist and the skin tasted great. I shouldn't have dunked it in the oil sauce though. So I may also use less oil too. The garlic was scrumptious."

Reviewed Cherry and Peach Galette

Feb 24, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

It was my first time making a galette and I fumbled a little. I didn't make the walls high enough, so the juices leaked and it came out a bit burnt. Would be interested in seeing how great it tastes on a second try. "

Reviewed Roast Chicken and Mushrooms With Red Wine Sauce

Feb 24, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious and easy. I used a combination of mitake, oyster, and beech. Honestly, you could use cremini or shitake and it would come out fine. I think I would use more oil to toss with mushrooms, since they almost got a tad dry. The sauce helped plump them back up. I used Barbera, and it worked fine. Also substituted agave nectar for sugar and sauc"

First time making scallops on my own. Boyfriend usually only likes them seared and he enjoyed this. Used sea scallops and beer instead of white wine and they still came out great."

I have been making this recipe since finding it featured in People Magazine way back in 2010. It's my absolute favorite chicken recipe and it is always a hit. It turned me onto the benefits of brining poultry too. It's healthier than a traditional bbq chicken and the flavor is phenomenal!"

Reviewed Roasted Potatoes and Fennel

Feb 22, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Couldn't find fingerlings and my boyfriend insisted on using a casserole dish instead of the baking sheet as listed. I think if they could have been spread out more, the potatoes would have come out crispy. The fennel was yummy. Want to try it again and follow the recipe more accurately next time, to see what happens. This recipe was my first expe"

This recipe is easy and I liked the flavor this pesto gave the steak. I actually used a skirt steak, so I didn't marinate it as long. Sometimes I crave this pesto with my steak now, it had a nice kick."

After making this, I agree that perhaps the spices need to be doubled to give it more flavor. The meat was tender and juicy, yet a bit bland for my taste. "

For a party, I made these along with another more traditional version. This one had an interesting taste, and while I enjoyed it, I think most people liked the traditional one better. People with more adventurous palettes will appreciate this spin on a classic. Yummy nonetheless. Like another reader, I used (light!) sour cream in a pinch, but late"

I used this recipe in addition with the newest ricotta recipe in March 2013's magazine. I was hoping to win my boyfriend over into loving my personal favorite combination of honey and ricotta. While I loved it, he ended up wanting to eat the ricotta plain on the toast. The recipe is very easy. I may have cooked the honey too long, but I would try "
