Reviewed Three Bean and Beef Chili

May 28, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This chili tastes delicious, even as leftovers. I followed the recipe exactly. It's more sweet than spicy, which I think is because of the carrots. I thought it was great, but if you want more heat you will need to add to it. It's inexpensive to make. I will make this chili again."

Reviewed Exploding Chicken Taquitos

Nov 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a good recipe. The ingredients are not hard to find and most are probably in your kitchen already, and the recipe is quick and easy. It's a good recipe to make if you have small children. I follow the recipe exactly. I use Rotissiere (store) or grilled/baked (I make myself) chicken instead of canned chicken. (I hate cans.) The taco seasoni"

This is the first recipe by Ree that I have tried. I followed the recipe exactly. The chili is delicious. The recipe is simple, and the ingredient list is simple. The time it takes to complete the meal is good (compared with what it could be)...It is a great recipe for Moms who need to feed a family but don't want to spend all day in the grocery s"

The most perfect hash browns ever. You can't mess up this dish. It's simple, requires only a few dishes, and is a delicious. You can make the hash browns and build on them with literally anything to make a great breakfast or other dish. .....I have no idea why there are so few ratings for the dish. This goes to show that sometimes a great dish goe"

Make this dish. I found it, read it, made it, and reviewed it all in one go. It's delicious and super easy. There's minimal prep work, the ingredients are affordable/budget friendly, and it feeds a family. In this recipe, shrimp is an ingredient you can really "stretch" to feed more mouths (as a casserole often does). MY MOST favorite part: makin...

Dec 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely the best dish I have ever made from Food Network. THE. BEST. DISH. ...The flavors of this dish are out of this world. The cost to make the dish is also relatively cheap because the shrimp are the only thing you will pay more than a few dollars for. All of the other ingredients are super cheap....I have made this dish probably 6 or 7 ti...

Dec 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely delicious! The flavors of both the meatballs and marinara are awesome!....I cooked them stovetop, and none of them fell apart. Here are the suggestions I took that (I think) helped them stay together: I doubled the amount of bread crumbs and cut up the onions super small (rather than grating them). I also let my meatballs sit instead o...

Reviewed Easy Lemon Pasta with Chicken

Excellent. It's simple and quick to prepare. It filling. The red pepper flakes are a wonderful, wonderful aftertaste in this dish (and I don't even really care for red pepper flakes. I used lemon juice to taste because of the reviews I read about it tasting of too much lemon. I think the lemon brightens the dish and is definitely necessary---so even...

I'm just made this and am eating it right now. Excellent. My only suggestion would be to make a double pot, because one pot for a family will go too quickly.

P-e-r-f-e-c-t. At first I thought the lemon dressing was strong, but the longer it sat, and the flavors settled, it tasted so good. The greens and dressing are the perfect combination with this chicken. This is my first Ina recipe, and I am impressed!

The meatballs tasted great. I loved them I will make this recipe again. The only things I will do differently next time are 1. to make smaller meatballs (I made 17 and they were still a bit big for me. and 2. Adjust the seasonings. When a recipe says to season "liberally" it's hard to know what amount that is.....SIDE NOTE: if you are considering...

This was my first time making short ribs and my first time using a dutch oven. The short ribs DEFINITELY fall off the bone. They are sooooo tender. I didn't make the sandwiches but the ribs themselves. They were a hit with my famiy. Next time I will make the sandwiches, since so many reviews show the coleslaw is a hit. Thanks, Big Daddy!!

This cranberry sauce is perfect. Absolute perfection. I made it for Thanksgiving 2010. It was the first time I along with many other family members tasted it. Everyone LOVED it; it was a complete hit. Days after Thanksgiving, when people were home in other cities, they called back to say how good the cranberry sauce was. 1. It's easy. It literally...

Reviewed Colorado River of Cheese and Macaroni

Dec 4, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for Thanksgiving. It wasn't a hit, but no one hated it. After talking it over with my boyfriend, we have narrowed the dish being rated a 3 down to a few things. 1. We used cooking white wine instead of white wine. Does this make a difference? 2. It wasn't cheesy enough for us. I did make the macaroni ahead of time, and we wondered whether...

Delicious. But wasn't that obvious. Anything wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheddar has got to be good.....OH, like others, I had to cook the bacon much longer than the recipe said. MUCH longer. Next time I will pre-cook the bacon too. It would be great if there was a healthier, less salty version of this recipe, since bacon and hot dogs can be...

Reviewed Lentil Quinoa Salad

Dec 4, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Honestly, I thought this salad was DE-LI-CIOUS. I've never had quinoa, and I've never had lentils. This recipe was a good introduction to both. HOWEVER, I give it only four stars because everyone else in my household hated it. My 2-year-old couldn't explain why, and neither could his father. After taking a few bites, they both just looked at me with...
