Reviewed Jennifer's Iced Sugar Cookies

"I have made this recipe 4 times so far this Christmas. I saw Trisha making these on her show and they looked so good I decided to try them. I do think 400 degrees is hot to bake these. I was taking these out at 6 minutes at that temp because I wanted a soft sugar cookie not a crispy one. In the future I will decrease the temp to 350 or 375. The ic"

Reviewed Lola Granola Bars

"I made these today after seeing them on food network this morning. They looked soo good on the show. Sunny kept commenting about the wonderful cinnamon smell but at 1/4 tsp as called for in the recipe I did not get that sensation. After baking in the oven and allowing to cool they were like bricks to cut. I ended up just breaking them into pieces."

About Me

I am a stay at home mom who loves to cook!! I have two sweet daughters who are in middle school. I was born in Louisiana and have always loved cajun food. I happened upon this website purely by accident and have fallen in love with all these recipes!!! I find myself cooking something different every day.My mother died about 3 years ago and she was a fantastic cook. My love of cooking really increased after her death. I guess it makes me feel closer to her when I am in the kitchen cooking for my family. That is what she always did. My husband loves my cooking and my girls are picky eaters. They will try some of my entree's but they really enjoy the plain stuff! Ha..Can any of you Moms relate to that?

Favorite Foods

Since I am from Louisiana, my favorite foods are Cajun and Southern Comfort foods. I also love Chinese food and soups of all kinds. My favorite dish to make is Chicken spaghetti which is made spicy by adding chili powder...So yummy! Add some garlic bread or cornbread and a tall glass of sweet tea and you are set!!!
