I used to eat a lot of lomo saltado at authentic Peruvian restaurants and they all have french fries and are served with rice. If not, it is not original.

Delicious. Warning though, 3-4 cloves of garlic was wayyyyy too much for me. Tried it with one large clove and it was still a little too much. So I would add the cloves one at a time, tasting each time to see if you like it. This chicken was good, but nothing out of this world. The meat was bland as other reviewers pointed out. There isn't really much of a citrus flavor. But it was moist and juicy. That is not mofongo. Mofongo is made with green plantains not ripe. And there is definitly no foie gras in mofongo. Yuck!
