"I consider myself a very good cook/baker and these turned out awful. They seemed grainy and dry - they look beautiful and "spongy" but they are really lacking in flavor in addition to the poor texture. The frosting is too sweet. I left work early and went grocery shopping hoping to surprise my family with a nice mid-week dinner since we're always in such a hurry. All I can say is I hope the roasted chicken, corn casserole and garlic potatoes are good enough to make up for the lack of dessert. And I hope my hubby doesn't figure out how much I spent on making cupcakes that are inedible. So disappointed. "

"Yuck, yuck, yuck...I cook daily for my family and weekly for friends - thank goodness I made this as a "test run" tonight for a holiday party I'm having this Sunday otherwise I would have been so embarrassed. In 20 years of cooking, I can honestly say this is the absolute worst thing I've ever made!
