Reviewed slow-roasted filet of beef and basil parmesan mayonnaise

I have made this dish for several dinner parties. I usually follow the recipe exactly. It is delicious and convenient to make when you're entertaining. The sauce is highly flavored, its true - but in my opinion that's a good thing. I just serve it with simple side dishes such as green beans and roasted potatoes so the meal isn't too rich.

I make this recipe often and it is absolutely delicious. A lot of the time I don't have fresh basil so I either add a little bit of dry, or omit completely. Most of the time I omit pine nuts because we have a family member who is allergic. It always turns out well in any case. "

I liked the method of adding mushrooms to the pan and then finishing in the oven. That worked well. However, I didn't find anything else special about this recipe.
