My Activity

Reviewed Parmesan Cheese Rounds

"This is similar to a recipe my grandmother taught me where you finely chop onion and add it to Mayonnaise, parmesan and just a dash of milk. She didn't toast the bread rounds, nor did she spread the dijon mustard. However, thanks to Paula and Susan, my new way is to toast rounds, spread with mustard, but then put my grandmother;s onion/parmesan/"

Reviewed Warm Artichoke and Bacon Dip

"I wish I had read the reviews prior to making the dish. I will try it again as it had potential - but it was very greasy/oily and did not set up - looked like glop. I will definitely drain the veggies very well and probably use cream cheese. ""

Reviewed Peach and Strawberry Crumble

"Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to baking it next time with other fruits. I had forgotten how to skin peaches, so if the recipe had included that technique, it would have been perfect. I googled it, but not having to take that step would have been great.""

About Me

I am retired and love to cook. No kids, but I have two beautiful Burmese Cats (and, oh yes, a huband). He enjoys my cooking, and I'm trying to get him to cook an easy dinner at least once a week.

Our favorite restaurant is here in Chicago. Frontera Grill. It's chef/proprietor is Rick Bayless. He won Top Chef Master the first season. To any of you visiting Chicago, it is a must stop restaurant.

Favorite Foods

Any comfort food, mac and cheese, meatloaf, chili (hot, hot, hot). Doing fish a lot more now, need some creative ideas for that.
