Reviewed Turkey Corn Chili

"Really good chili recipe. Being from Minnesota, I'm used to a more "tomato-ee" chili, so I added a small can of tomato sauce. It was great! The cumin spice and turkey were a great change from a more traditional chili. Will definitely make again. Yum-o !

Reviewed Bangin' Bacon and Cheddar Scones

"These are the BEST savory scones I have EVER made or EVER had !! The smoked bacon and the egg wash/coarse salt are the KEY to this recipe. (Definitely don't skip this part.) The cheesy, moist texture and peppery heat are a great combination ! I baked mine on a baking stone with GREAT results at 2 minutes less than baking time.

About Me

I am the mother of 2 grown children- Matt and Jake, wife of a fantastic husband- Gordy, and slave to my full-time job!  I enjoy my work, but LOVE to come home and cook/bake for my family when work is done.  I ALWAYS make time to have their favorites on the table, in the fridge, or in the cupboard!!

Favorite Foods

Even though I love to cook and bake, my favorite food is my husband's cheesecake.  I came across an awesome recipe (from the food network) for a basic vanilla cheesecake. Before I had a chance to bake it, my husband tried the recipe.  It's been his "signature" dessert ever since!!  It warms my heart knowing that my love of making GREAT food has rubbed off on him!
