My Activity

Reviewed Sweet Potato, Bacon and Apple Hash

"I love sweet potatoes all day any day but this recipe is NOT a keeper. Bacon with sweet potatoes and apples sounds like it would be a good combination but as executed the completed dish did not live up to my expectations. The onion and the pumpkin seeds were not to my liking. I tried this receipe looking for an alternative to the usual sweet potatoes we serve at Thanksgiving but will have to continue my search. I love Anne and her shows but will not be making this dish again.

Reviewed Carrot and Pineapple Cake

"I have always wanted to bake a carrot cake and after much searching I chose Ina's. This recipe has everything you could ask for in a carrot cake. All I can say about this cake is that IT ROCKS! I have orders from family and friends to make this cake again. I did make minor changes - I soaked the raisins in apple juice and rum to plump them up, used canned pineapple tidbits, baked the cakes in 3 - 9 in pans and used 16 oz of cream cheese for the frosting. It is truly the BEST CARROT CAKE EVER!
