Terrific!! My new standard for carrots. Damaris has brought a new twist to this site and I've become a devoted follower. Thank you, thank you.

Lowest rating I've given to Giada. Watch her shows, done dozens of her recipes - hands down my favorite chef. Usually a five and rarely a four, but this one just didn't work for me. Since this one sounded a little unusual, I did it exactly as written (even took the time to watch the video). Didn't throw it away, but this one won't show up on...

Excellent flavor - sesame oil gave a little "what's that?" taste, and the honey just plain works. Needed something to brighten the plate with a pork loin and happened to have snap peas in the refrig. Got to admit I picked this primarily for color, but I'm keeping it on the go to list for all-round great."

Read all the reviews before trying this because it sounded really strange. It is MARVELOUS and absolutely unique! I spent my career entertaining clients in excellent restaurants (let's hear it for expense accounts)....never had anything like this any where. File this under "impress your friends and neighbors". Served with a side of roasted tom"

Wasn't sure exactly what flavors to expect, but I've learned to have faith in Giada. Bright, with natural sweetness and a delightful side dish. She served her broiled tilapia on this puree and so I did the same. Wife ended up in the kitchen finishing off the left-overs straight from the pan."

Jul 11, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Nothing short of sublime! No problem with thickening - it did exactly what it was supposed to. Giada is absolutely amazing. I've learned to make no adjustments to her recipes - I follow them religiously and every one has come out as good as I hoped."

Need more stars! Perfect exactly as is. We once ate our way through a vacation in Italy, and this is what it's supposed to taste like. I'll be making this again as soon as my cholesterol drops back to normal and if anyone has ever counted the calories, I don't think I want to know. Read a bunch of reviews first, and came away with three thin"

Apr 11, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

How can something this good be this easy? The flavors meld beautifully and the result was both subtle and amazing. Served on a bed of Spaghetti al Lemone (used angel hair pasta) from another site. Turned out to be a great combination. Another triumph for Giada."

Reviewed Corned Beef and Cabbage with Herb Buttered Potatoes

Mar 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Wanted to be more excited but this is just so-so. Did it exactly by the instructions. Carrots did pick up a little of the apple flavor, but there was no flavor at all to the cabbage. Thought I was going to one-up my wife's annual preparation using the instructions on the package. Wrong, again!
The potatoes were good and I'll use that...

When I want a special desert, this is it! First time was last Valentine's day, then a couple special occasions, and couldn't find anything more deserving for this year's Feb 14. Plan ahead, have ALL the right ingredients and you will be rewarded for the effort! "

Absolutely delightful! The Vinaigrette: is delicious. Keep the pancetta andfFennel pretty thin in order to crisp up and carmelize properly. This deserves to be served as a first course to be savored on its own."

Wonderful meal. At least as good (or better ) than anything I've had presented in a restaurant. Did Giada's Caramelized Pancetta and Fennel Salad, finished off with Ann's Cinnamon and Orange Creme Brulee. Wife is now very grateful she broke her arm the week before Valentine's day! I'm a firm beleiver that the first time with a new recipe shoul"

Nothing short of terrific! I beleive in "by the book" for the first time at any recipe. Better half doesn't like much heat, so always have to cut back on the cayenne. Cut it in half and was delighted with the zing still in this dish - was afraid she wouldn't like it, but she went back to the stove for seconds. A really good andouille helps br"
