My Activity
Reviewed Salisbury Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Parsnips and Cress
"I made this recipe tonight and my husband loved it. More importantly, I liked it. I don't eat red meat so I made it with ground turkey and substituted the beef stock with chicken stock. It turned out great and my husband wants to make it at the Fire Station. I also added bella mushroom to the gravy, it was a nice touch. I am definately saving this""
Reviewed Sue and Gloria's Baked Beans
"These baked beans were great. I made them at the fire station for the superbowl and everyone loved them. I did have a couple changes though. Two of the wives are vegetarians so I substituted vegetarian baked beans for the pork & beans. Then divided the recipe into two batches only putting bacon in one of them. Also I didn't have molasses so I used brown sugar instead. Not too sweet at all. Everyone ate them up. Even the kids. I'm definately going to make them again. Try it!
Reviewed Chicken Cacciatore
"I loved this recipe. I grew up eating Chicken Cacciatore so this is one of my comfort foods. When I made it I added extra garlic, crushed red pepper, a pack of baby bella mushrooms (big chunky pieces), and a little tomato paste to thicken up the sauce. My husband is a picky eater so I ended up taking the chiken off the bone at the end, but I would have been fine leaving the bones in too. Then I served the whole thing over cooked egg noodles like my father does. Came out perfect. It tasted so hearty and fresh. I can't wait to make it again. Thanks.
