5 stars for Taste - Hubby almost licked his plate! Followed recipe except decreased portions & fried meat. Also no wine/used beef broth; no Dijon/used Spicy; no fresh herb/used 1 teaspoon each Thyme & Rosemary; 2 of us = 1 lb Sirloin + 12 oz Pork Sausage. Recommend doubling or tripling gravy amount.

Posted part review before, Re: recipe's poor structure - I did -
1. GARLIC - foil tent after 20 minutes or too brown
2. POTATOES - Garlic in oven, wash, peel, cube, & cook potatoes
3. BACON & ONION - Potatoes cooking = cook bacon; bacon cooking = chop onion; then drain bacon; cook onion; drain onion

5 Stars even tho made changes, but Alton Brown deserves the credit for flavoring of filling! Hubby has yearned for his Grandma's. He said flavor even beats her's! Love Alton Brown & Good Eats! Hubby does too!

My changes - did cook & bake in 12" iron skillet.
